As governments and institutions which handle sensitive information adopt decentralized blockchain technologies, universal ethics and privacy standards are needed to protect sensitive information and to ensure compliance with stringent regulations such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
To address this, we are posting a series of research summaries and discussions which will identify some of the ethics and fairness issues relevant to smart contracts and decentralized oracle networks (DONs) with an eye toward establishing ethics standards for these technologies.
Each post in this series will be labeled with [Ethics] in the title for ease of reference.
